自己紹介

Where are you from?
I moved to Japan from Honolulu, Hawai'i, where the scenery is beautiful (mountains, valleys, and ocean views) and the weather is almost always pleasant (warm climate, cool breezes, and low humidity). Honolulu is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world, including Japan.

Teaching Experience
I’m starting my career teaching English, but I’ve been speaking English to my Japanese in-laws for several years and have coached my legal assistant with ESL as well.

Business / Education
I have a degree in civil & environmental engineering from Cornell University and a law degree from the University of Hawai'i, with a certificate in environmental law. I was a lawyer in Hawai'i for around 20 years. For ten of those years, I owned and operated my own law business.

In my lessons...
I enjoy personalizing the lesson to the student's abilities and interests as much as possible, while also making the learning experience fun.
