自己紹介

Where are you from?
I am from the UK and I currently live in Cornwall. The best part about living in Cornwall is that it is full of beautiful nature. Sometimes deer and otters visit my garden! Before I came to Cornwall, I lived in London. London is very exciting and full of great activities, but sometimes it is nice to relax in the countryside. I love learning about the history and politics of the UK.

Teaching Experience
During my time studying in Japan, I participated in weekly English conversational classes for adult learners. I also held 1-on-1 online classes for a friend of mine upon returning to England. In 2009 I completed an intensive weekend TEFL course.

Business / Education
I recently worked in London in the press team of the UK’s number one parenting website. My job involved working with UK media outlets, such as the BBC, and arranging online interviews with politicians.

I studied East Asian Studies at the University of Sheffield. I graduated in 2018. During my first year at university, I spent a summer in Fukuoka studying Japanese.

Before I went to university I worked in special needs education as a teaching assistant and specialist childminder.

What makes my lessons special?
Learning a language is really exciting, but sometimes it can be quite difficult. I believe confidence is really important when learning a new language, so I want to help you build your confidence. I will do this by creating a fun, supportive classroom environment where you will feel free to ask lots of questions.
