Where are you from?
Brisbane, Australia. It's the capital of Queensland, which is known in my country as the "sunshine state", for good reason: the weather is almost always great. So I grew up sailing, (water)skiing, camping, bushwalking (or hiking) and swimming. Also, the food is fantastic. In my garden, we grew everything from herbs to beans to vegetables, but particularly so much tasty fresh fruit! As a child, every night we would go out to pick fresh passionfruit for our dessert, for example. And if you like seafood, well you'll just love it there, especially the prawns (shrimp)!
Teaching Experience
I have been in Tokyo since 1998, teaching all kinds of students from kids to adults, including absolute beginners to a near-native level. My main focus has been business communication.
Business / Education
Bachelor of Arts in Japanese language and culture from the university of Queensland. Graduate Diploma in Tax Law from the University of New South Wales. Worked at the Australian Tax Office for 7.5 years in many roles, before moving to Japan to teach English.
My lesson are...
They're very much focussed on you, the student: helping you achieve your goals, giving you feedback based on your needs and wants in learning English. However, the most important thing is to make you feel comfortable and to have fun with learning English, as the more enjoyable you find the experience, the more you will learn.

Martin講師はオーストラリア・ブリスベン出身ですが、東京在住です。大学では日本語や日本文化を学んでいました。料理や読書、映画鑑賞が趣味です。日本では、子供から大人・初心者から上級者まで、様々な生徒へ長年英語を教えてきました。
