Where are you from?
I am from Scotland in the United Kingdom, and I am currently based in Europe. I have also lived, studied, and worked in several countries, including France, Thailand, China, Bulgaria, and Poland. Living internationally has given me a strong interest in different cultures, languages, and ways of communicating. I consider myself a "European" and think of the European Union as my country. I think the EU is a great example to the world of hundreds of millions of people speaking 24 different languages in 27 different countries, working together successfully.

Teaching Experience
I have over eight years of international English teaching experience and have taught more than 20,000 lessons, both online and in the classroom. I have taught adult learners, professionals, university students, and younger learners from many different countries. My experience includes General English, conversation, Business English, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and professional communication.

Business / Education
I am CELTA qualified and hold advanced teaching qualifications, including a Level 5 TEFL qualification and professional diplomas in education and teaching.
I also have a BA (Hons) in International Media, a BA (Hons) in Humanities, and an MSc in Philosophy. I am currently completing a PhD in Philosophy at Sofia University. My academic background means I particularly enjoy working with students who want to discuss interesting topics, develop their vocabulary, and express complex ideas clearly in English.

In my lessons...
My lessons are friendly, structured, and focused on practical communication. I adapt each class to your level, interests, and reasons for learning English, whether you need English for work, travel, international communication, or simply want to speak more confidently.

I give clear corrections and help you improve your grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and natural expression. I will not only explain what is correct, but also help you understand what a native speaker would naturally say in the same situation.

For professional learners, we can practise meetings, presentations, interviews, discussions, emails, and communicating your ideas clearly and politely. For conversational lessons, I enjoy using current affairs, culture, travel, technology, films, and other real-world topics.

Most importantly, I want you to have plenty of opportunities to speak. Mistakes are a normal part of learning, and my aim is to help you become more accurate, natural, and confident each time you use English.
