Where are you from?
I am from Mossel Bay, South Africa, a beautiful coastal town known for its stunning beach hiking routes and for having the mildest climate all year round, second only to Hawaii. It's also the first place in the Southern Hemisphere where Europeans set up a post box/tree.

Teaching Experience
Since 2022, I’ve been on an exciting journey teaching English in Japan, starting with Shane English School in Osaka and later at NOVA Pty Ltd in Moriyama, Shiga. My teaching style blends traditional and innovative methods, creating a lively and immersive learning environment. I have experience teaching corporate clients, at colleges, coaching debate teams, and preparing students for EIKEN, IELTS, and TOEIC exams.

Business / Education
Before my teaching journey, I worked as a process design engineer, honing my analytical and problem-solving skills. This experience has given me a unique perspective that I bring into my teaching. My career has taken me to many countries, including the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, and the Middle East, where I lived and studied. These experiences have enriched my understanding of diverse cultures and have influenced my teaching methodologies.

In my lessons...
In my classroom, the conversation is never one-sided. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where students feel confident to speak up. I understand that learning English can be daunting, and it’s natural to worry about making mistakes. However, I’m here to show you that learning and speaking English can be fun and rewarding.

Interests
Evening and early morning walks, gaming, glamping, scrolling through YouTube, and petting cats.
