Where are you from?
I'm from Kyoto, Japan. What makes my city special is its strong traditions that are rooted in ancient history.
There are festivals that have been held for over a thousand years.
The most famous one is the Gion festival, which is so colorful and vibrant that is has been called an open-air art museum.
Teaching Experience
During university, I volunteered as a speech and pronunciation coach in high school classes every week.
I also have experience teaching elementary-level English to Japanese people.
Business / Education
I have a degree in international relations and I’m a specialist in international political theory.
My particular area of interest is European security policy.
I also worked as a translator for Japan’s leading public TV broadcaster.
I helped translate English books, documents and audio files into Japanese to assist in the making of TV documentaries.

My lessons are special because they are well-adapted to beginners.
As a native Japanese speaker myself, I understand the obstacles that a native Japanese speaker might face, and I can help with both pronunciation and grammar.
